About Me

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist currently practicing in Oakland, CA. I began seeing clients in 2012 at the John F. Kennedy Center for Holistic Counseling, and subsequently provided psychotherapy services at Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center from 2013-2018. In addition to my private practice in Oakland, I have worked with elementary kids in the Walnut Creek School District providing child therapy for three years. In my years of practicing I've also regularly led Expressive Arts Therapy groups for adults, which has been among my favorite things to do.

What it's like in my office: I'm very intentional about my space, because to me, it's so important to have an environment that just feels good. So before every work day, I clear the space energetically, and set the energy to be a safe and sacred space for personal growth and soul work. It's not uncommon for clients to come in, kick off their shoes, and get comfy on the couch. You'll find that it feels like a calm and relaxing, unconditionally accepting and safe place to be.

How I work: My approach is holistic and transpersonal, meaning I look at and work with all aspects of your being - mind, body, soul, and spirit. I've had a lot of somatic training and mentoring in the Hakomi tradition, which is an experiential and mindfulness-based, body-centered approach to therapy, and have certification in Embodied Touch Healing in Psychotherapy. I'm adept at working on many levels, especially helping clients to resolve core wounds, and to build up a true sense of self-esteem (where the soul is back in charge!). I love helping each person learn to re-align with themselves, reconnect to their amazing gifts, and step into their innate ability to manifest the life they envision.

I've also done advanced intuitive training, and am a Reiki practitioner. I love to do touch therapy work, which is where I blend together craniosacral work, soul retrieval, past-life regression, intuitive reading, somatic body work, and energy medicine all into one. It's powerful, and still touches me deeply everytime I do this work. My clients tell me all the time that they love it!

About Therapy

I work with individuals and groups who want positive change in their life,  and are seeking help in both figuring out what those next steps are, as well as taking those initial steps.

Whether it’s your first time reaching out for some assistance, or you’ve had previous therapists or counselors,  you can be assured that holistic therapy continues to develop as one of the best ways to get exactly the help you need and the kind of support you’re seeking. I help people to feel confident in their ability to actually create a life that is full of true satisfaction and happiness.

My Clinical Areas of Interest are:

  • Providing tools to help manage stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Developing clarity on life values, challenges, and opening opportunities for healing and change
  • Creating more mindful awareness of personal patterns, relational dynamics, and somatic experiences
  • Working with past trauma or painful experiences
  • Confronting negative self-judgments and increasing self-esteem
  • Relationship coaching and communication skills
  • Personal growth work related to intuitive development, consciousness evolution, and spiritual ascension
  • Psychospiritual Integration
  • Integrating experiences from psychedelics and medicine work
  • Women’s Issues
  • Asian American Issues

Some of my Other Interests
I currently serve as the board President for Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health, which is continuing its development of providing an innovative model of internship for both pre-licensed and licensed mental health professionals and healers. In some previous work, I've collaborated with other professionals in the fields of Psychology and Education through conducting research and advocating for the implementation of essential programs in schools including mindfulness, meditation, and anti-bullying.

My other interest is in leading workshops and gatherings that focus on transpersonal psychology, meditation, and other spiritual practices including qi-gong, yoga, shamanic approaches, and energy work. I'm currently working on co-creating a brand new ebook and website that centers around spiritual growth and sacred manifestation using the ancient Mayan calendar, called the Dreamspell. You'll be able to find out more when the time comes!
